When looking at this blog it will quickly become apparent that many of the recipes involve the use of a Thermomix … BUT … I also have a very old Kenwood Chef that I have had for just on 40 years (goodness, dare I admit that!), and love that just as much, as well as the usual other small electrical appliances that are part of most domestic kitchens.
Since April 2011 when I got introduced to my very own Thermomix … I have been hooked. And like so many before me have declared … it is hard not to be!
Having a Thermomix in my kitchen has allowed me to do so much … in terms of saving time, effort, and money, that I can’t imagine being in the kitchen without one. Over time it has also helped me make much of my own food from scratch, which to be honest, was not even on my radar when I first decided to buy this most amazing piece of kitchen equipment.
So even if you don’t have a Thermomix, use your food processor for any milling or mixing functions, and if there is cooking involved, then do so the conventional way. Please note that where I have adapted recipes from other sites, I have included the link to the original recipe and method. So regardless of the equipment you have in your kitchen, I hope that you can still be inspired by the recipes here.
And let me also say that despite my love for my Thermomix, there are still dishes that I prefer to make the “old fashioned” way, which is what I love doing too.
So thanks for being here and sharing in the joy that is “simply food”.
